A collaboration between ThaneLife, Longboard Academy, and SkateIDSA, Skate Till U Drop 2023 saw members of the community race through the month of May to explore 4 local parks: Bishan-AMK Park, Jurong Lake Gardens, East Coast Park, and Punggol Waterway Park. Their challenge? To complete at least 8km in each of these local parks to earn the Park Ranger title and t-shirt.

The 2022 December holidays ended on a sweet note for our youngest group of students - the Super Zoomers - who took part in a 2-day camp to hone their longboarding abilities and engage one another in rounds of friendly competition. Our students learnt to challenge themselves and foster friendships with peers of similar ages.

The Longboard Academy celebrated our 1st Birthday with an event held on 13 November 2022! We sent a personal invitation to every single student taught over the year to join us for a picnic and it was a joy seeing familiar faces again.

The Longboard Academy held a Longboard Dance workshop in collaboration with ChillVibes at Singapore’s finest Sentosa Island!

The 21km Heatwave Challenge was an amazing success! Participants arrived in high spirits and in spite of the rain and wet conditions, they pressed on undeterred and completed the race. We saw some really impressive efforts and skills handling the technical terrain and conditions. At the end of the event, everyone came together and celebrated the shared love for the sport, the human spirit, and enjoyed some good-hearted banter in between. Huge thanks to the amazing and dedicated team of volunteers who put in their time and effort to make the race possible.
